Density

The average wood density (green condition) of untreated trees …

For aquilaria crassna,

  • The density of wet wood is 0.6gm/ cm 3 ( 0.6sg )
  • and weight ratio of dry wood to wet wood is 0.56

That is to say, a log wood having 4″ in diameter @ a length of 4 feet, it weights 9.9 x 0.6 = 5.94kg in wet wood, and will have a dry weight of 5.94 x 0.56 = 3.33kg if properly sun dried.
